NEW DELHI: China has warned small and medium-sized countries in the Asia-Pacific not to take sides “among big countries”.
中国警告亚太中小国家不要在大国之间选边站
In a white paper it released earlier this week on Asia-Pacific security cooperation, Beijing also said major countries should treat strategic intentions of others in an objective and rational manner, reject the Cold War mentality, respect others’ legitimate interests and concerns and respond to challenges with concerted efforts.
在本周早些时候发布的有关亚太安全合作的白皮书，北京称大国应以客观和理性的方式对待其他国家的战略意图，拒绝冷战思维，尊重其他国家的合法利益和关切，共同应对挑战。
This is significant in the context of India’s own attempts to deepen security and defence ties with countries in the region, most notably with Vietnam and Japan, who are involved in serious maritime territorial disputes with China.
在印度试图加强与越南和日本等该地区国家的安全和防卫关系的背景下，这一点是很重要的。

China should understand being a manufacturing and exporting country China should not make enemies everywhere. if sanctions were imposed by only one country, USA, it”s export will stop. We cannot trust China. If China doesn”t heed to our requests on Hafiz Sayeed and NSG, then, we too must treat it as an enemy and take appropriate action to mitigate Chinese influence including aligning with the US. China is a massive factory. They will struggle to survive in an environment of trade embargo.
