We need more activity in space not less so I applaud the efforts of anyone that is trying to promote the peaceful use of space.

As for comparing where China is compared to other countries they certainly have money right now but we'll have to see how sustainable it is with their national economic situations. However what they don't have is a lot of experience which is something they will need to have if they want to go off to the Moon and beyond.

Since time began all technology was viewed with this question in mind- 'How can we make it into a better weapon?' The US space program was a direct knee jerk reaction to Sputnik. We all wish peace and harmony ruled the world but as long as our 'leaders' continue to find a way to divide us into 'us' and 'them' our ugly side will always be close at hand.

Just look at their pace of human launches you can almost call it non existant. Once their station is up and they are doing 6 month missions to match the ISS they will only be launching twice a year... not really a breakneck speed considering they are so flush with cash

They are slow. But they're so stinking steady that it's kinda creepy to me. They remind me of a Zombie that just keeps shuffling along not going too fast. But you can't stop it and you can't get away from it. Maybe I've been watching too many movies...

Russia have a lot of previous experience in space however not only Russian space program is very slow going this days but Chinese space program currently progresses at breakneck speeds. It will not take Chinese long to catch up to Russians if things stay as they are today.
