22日上午10时，中印边境乃堆拉山口迎来首批印度官方香客，标志着印度香客进藏朝圣新线路正式开通。这批香客将前往xz阿里地区冈仁波齐峰和玛旁雍错湖，开展为期12天的朝圣之旅。阿里地区的冈仁波齐峰、玛旁雍错被佛教、印度教尊称为“神山圣湖”，印度香客赴xz朝圣有着悠久的历史。中国于1981年起接受印度官方香客入境朝拜神山圣湖。过去的朝圣线路需翻越海拔5200多米的强拉山口，沿途山高路险，高寒缺氧，常年积雪。朝圣新线路相比强拉山口的朝圣线路更舒适、更便捷、更安全。
