Why don't the Chinese people get it. Communism is dead and has been for decades in the mainland. What they have is a cadre of political oligarchs holding power. It is an elite group of entitled and privileged people holding back the rest of the hard work of the Chinese from going a route towards increased freedoms and peoples rights. In that regard it is not much different than North Korea and the monarchy of heirs. The Chinese mainland should demand that this small elite who hold the power step down and like Taiwan have open and free elections.

为什么中国人就是不明白呢。中国大陆的共产主义已经死亡几十年了。他们现在拥有的只是掌握权力的寡头政治执政者。这些享有特权的精英团体不让其他中国人获得更多的自由和人权。所以从这方面来看，和朝鲜及其王室继承没啥区别。大陆应该要求这些掌握权力的一小部分精英下台，并像台湾一样进行公开和自由的选举。
