周四，一位中国外交官在发言中表示，中国和印度在尼泊尔地震发生后在救援方面展开了良好的合作，并表示指责中国是通过救援工作来与印度竞争，争夺影响力的意见是无稽之谈。

China has been the one country paying the least in the two recent regional rescue efforts - Typhoon in the Philippines and this earthquake in Nepal. Nepal and India are connected together to each other for centuries. I visited Nepal twice and prayed at the most revered Pashupati Nath temple. Don't let reporting of some journalists come between two brothers. India's people and government have done a good job working well with China and other countries in the rescue effort. "All India provided to Nepal was a dozen of helicopters and some rescue teams and we, Nepalese, are grateful for that. However, we also know clearly that the way China's proposal to provide 8 helicopters and many rescue teams was pending till today. Only after arrival of US marines, 500 Chinese armed forces entered Nepal to construct damaged road upto Kathmandu and 3 Chinese helicopters are now in Kathmandu.
