有印度网民称，我最近去过中国。在主干道上，我看到年轻人站在那里拦车发放报纸。我问朋友这是啥意思，他对我说那些人在卖房。我震惊了。中国有那么多房子要卖吗，难道年轻人被请去在每一个主要路口发广告？他说是的。房子有很多，利率相当便宜，因为供给远远大于需求。

They are just new cities just being built. What US main stream media can never get is that China builds a new city in 6 months so what they see from the satellite is that ghost cities are everywhere in China.

yeah, but with China’s 1 child law and the aging population…you are going to be having millions if not tens of millions old people retiring every year in the next few decades. where will they go?? wouldn’t it be easier and cheaper to put them all in single city to be taken care??

There is a huge cultural difference on that between China and US. Old people live with and being taken care of by their children in China. parents children bond is much much stronger in Chinese culture than that of US.
中美之间存在巨大的文化差异。
中国老人与孩子住在一起，孩子会照顾老人。
父辈与孩子之间的关系比美国牢固多了。

question is can a one child policy child handle taking care of so many elderly. that’s a lot of burden for a only child. back in the day that might of been feasible but in the future…eeh you gotta wonder.
问题是，独生子女是否有能力照顾如此多老人，负担太大了。

Even a poor family in the countryside has a large saving.

what you said about U.S isn’t entirely true. we take of our parents as well. not like we all send them off into a retirement home.

A rich China in the future may open doors to immigrant workers since China is surrounded by poor countries ,but I don’t know if the government would be willing to do it or not.
