I guess we will not be the only ones trying to answer that question in the years to come:-). Certainly not the same overmatch like F-14 MIGCAP against flight of J-6s some 30 years back. Yep, they are catching up pretty fast...so much for Soft Power Doctrine.

The Chinese are coming up in the world, the U.S. because strong and rich because of manufacturing, now that China has our manufacturing we are loosing more and more edge by the day. Now they have the money to kick up R & D militarily, we will soon be less powerful than china if we do not change something soon.
