BEIJING: China on Tuesday advised India and Pakistan to exercise restraint on the border, and try to resolve differences through dialogue and mutual consultation.

周二，中国建议印度和巴基斯坦在边界保持克制，设法通过对话和共同磋商来解决分歧。

The comment comes ahead of the military parade in Beijing on September 3, which will be attended by Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and India’s minister of state for defense V K Singh. The Indian minister is due to meet Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi the next day.

此番言论是在9月3日北京阅兵前夕发表的，巴基斯坦总统侯赛因和印度国防部长辛格将会出席阅兵。第二天，印度国防部长将会见中国外长王毅。

“China follows closely the development of the situation,” foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said in reply to a question at the official briefing. “As a neighbour and friend of India and Pakistan, China calls on the two countries to exercise restraint, manage the situation through dialogue and consultation, properly deal with relevant differences and stay committed to the peace and stability of South Asia,” she said.

“中国密切关注形势的发展。”外交部发言人华春莹在新闻发布会上回答记者提问。“作为印度和巴基斯坦的邻国且朋友，中国呼吁两国保持克制，通过对话和磋商来控制形势，妥善处理相关分歧，恪守南亚和平与稳定的承诺。”她说。

On one hand it wants Pakistan to continue its terrorist activities against India and also expects India to say nothing when it builds huge corridors through Kashmir for trade.
